Lights and smoke engulf a guitarist shredding a guitar. A drummer is hammering away at his set and laying out a bass line. Fans lucky enough to get concert tickets are screaming in the audience wearing their band's memorabilia such as t-shirt, dog tags, and belt buckles. After an extraordinary show, fans purchase posters and key chains to mark the memorable event and head to the record store to buy an album from their favorite band to round up their collection.

Masters of Metal is a Vinyl edition that expands on the core mechanisms of Vinyl with the introduction of memorabilia. Players will collect albums from six Metal bands, with attributes such as live recording or picture disc. In addition to collecting albums, players may also extend their collections with memorabilia such as concert tickets, posters, or t-shirts.

As the collection gets larger, the player may retire the albums and memorabilia from a single band to earn a Collection Reward Token.
